…in fact, four chairs.
In 2014, we bought a pine and white painted dining table and four matching chairs from IKEA. It was solid, affordable and functional. Then in 2017, I decided to ‘warm up’ our kitchen/dining area by added lots of colour. The chair seats were grey (yawn) and starting to look worn due to the high quantity of use.
The cupboards when from grey to blue (Provence by Annie Sloan) and I bought some gorgeous fabric so that I could change the seat covers.
Then I decided that we needed an extra couple of chairs. On Christmas days, six of us squeeze around our modest table. The old Philips hostess heater comes out, and we have a great time. Last year, one of us drew the short store and sat on a garden chair all day. For 2017, I decided we’d do it in style.
And so, I bought a pair of chairs which aren’t dissimilar in style to our other four, recovered the seats and painted them white. Now, we are the proud owner of a matching set of cheerful chairs!
